Take a Bite out of the Fruits of the Spirit

In order to not overwhelm you, we at Blume decided to break up this post over a period of time; it will allow you to easily digest each of the pieces rather than over-indulging.
Fruit of the Spirit

22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!” Galatians 5:22-23 (NLT)

The Fruit of the Spirit are qualities that God wants us to show when we become Christians. These fruits of the spirit are qualities of God’s nature, and as Christians, our desire should be to grow in Christ and Christ’s likeness, so that the fruits of the spirit flow through us as we strive to live out the Gospel each day.

The first fruit is LOVE:
What is love?4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-7) Through Christ, our goal is to do all things with love.

The second is JOY:

The Bible says that “the joy of the Lord is our strength” in Nehemiah. Because it is God’s joy flowing through us, He can magnify it. Without joy, our lives would be dull and going to church and reading our Bibles every day may start to seem like a chore.
