Fruits of the Spirit continued.
Peace:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27) Through Christ, we can receive a peace that surpasses all human understanding. Without peace, our lives can be easily shaken and knocked off course.
Patience:
“But if we hope for what is still unseen by us, we wait for it with pat ience and composure.” (Romans 8:25) God’s timing is impeccable. He knows what is best for us when we do not. We need to be pat ient and wait on God’s best plan for our lives. Can you imagine how pat ient God has been with us? Think of all the times we disregard Him, disobey Him, and disrespect Him time and time again. Yet, just like a loving parent, God is pat ient with us—waiting for us to grow and mature in Him. We should try to show the same pat ience as we wait on God.
Kindness:
"Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” (Ephesians 4:32) Forgiving someone who has wronged you can be hard, but Christ can give us the strength to do it. Forgiving one another is an act of kindness, and through it we not only will be able to be an example to others, but we will also be examples to ourselves.
